Presentations

Presentation is a tradition when we thank God for the life of your new child and ask for God’s continued blessings. Your child is presented to God at the Church. The ritual is in honor of the presentation by Mary and Joseph of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple, 40 days after Christmas (Luke 2:22-35) and the presentation by Ann and Joachim of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Temple at 3 years of age.

The priest or deacon blesses your child as we celebrate God’s gift of life.  Presentation is a special and sacred way for your family to begin your child’s walk with God.

In our community Presentations are often celebrated the Sunday after the baby is baptized. Please contact the priest for the requirements.
